Internships & Opportunities

Engineering undergraduates can participate in summer internships. Most of our interns are offered full-time employment after graduation. Completing an internship often positions you to receive a full-time offer for a more prestigious and satisfying position than the typical entry-level job.

The College of Engineering at Temple has a dedicated industrial relations director committed to building and maintaining longstanding employer relationships. These relationships, and a far-reaching network of alumni generate community outreach, co-op and internship opportunities, job placements, and research collaborations at organizations including

  • Amtrak,
  • Boeing,
  • Comcast,
  • Lockheed Martin,
  • NASA,
  • Pennsylvania Department of Transportation,
  • Philadelphia School District,
  • Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA),
  • Verizon and many others.

Take advantage of OwlNetwork, an exclusive Temple database featuring more than 1,000 job and internship postings. The college also hosts a variety of career fairs throughout the academic year.

Consider enhancing your engineering career prospects by completing a co-op assignment. Temple’s co-ops are flexible and entirely optional. A co-op helps you gain invaluable insights and contacts as you work alongside professional engineers. You also graduate with the experience employers look for in job applicants. Undergraduate Research Internships

The College of Engineering encourages its students to get involved in research. Use our open labs and simulation software and work with our faculty.

Temple also provides Educational Enhancement Stipends, which fund approved faculty-mentored research, creative projects or unpaid internships during the summer or approved study abroad during the academic year for new freshman Honors students.
