How to Apply

To apply, submit Temple’s online graduate application along with an application fee of $60.

All College of Liberal Arts candidates must have completed their bachelor’s degree in a related field before applying to a graduate program. However, in the past, students without a related bachelor’s degree have performed well in the program. Therefore, an applicant’s entire application package will be considered.

Candidates will be asked to submit the following along with their application.

Transcripts

Submit official transcripts from every college and university you have attended. A master’s degree is not required. A baccalaureate degree, preferably in a related discipline, is required.

Up to 18 relevant credit hours may be applied to the doctoral program for applicants who received an MA from another institution no more than five years prior to matriculation in Temple’s Political Science PhD program.
