How to Apply

To apply, submit Temple University’s application along with the $60 online application fee. Standardized tests (GRE or MAT) are not required.

Supporting Materials

  • Transcripts: Submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from all accredited institutions you have attended and/or from which you earned credit.
  • Goals Statement: In 500–1,000 words, state your career goals and how you believe this degree will help you achieve them. Discuss the relevant experience you have obtained so far.
  • Recommendations: Submit two letters of recommendation.
  • Résumé: A current professional résumé is required.
  • Standardized Test Scores: Test scores, such as the GMAT or GRE, are optional.

Additional Requirements

  • Previous Coursework: Music applicants must hold a master of music degree (or the equivalent) in the field of specialization from an accredited institution.
  • Scholarly Paper: Submit a scholarly paper to Acceptd by Nov. 15.
  • Preliminary Video: Submit a prescreen video to Acceptd by Nov. 15.

Audition Information

Performance DMA applicants are notified of preliminary approval and a live audition will be scheduled. Audition requirements vary and are based on an applicant’s concentration.

Admission Deadline

To be considered for the Performance DMA program, applicants must submit all required admissions materials by Nov. 15.

International Students
