Mobile Application Development Certificate (Undergraduate)

Revolutionize the way we access information, communicate and learn with the Mobile Application Development Certificate (Undergraduate) in the College of Science and Technology at Temple University. Students enrolled in the certificate program will learn to leverage the various components found in modern mobile devices such as wireless communication and global navigation systems to build applications that aid in accessibility, consumer needs and entertainment.

With new technologies constantly available at our fingertips, mobile app developers are in high demand. This program teaches new material such as cloud computing and scripting languages and also reinforces concepts taught in computer and information sciences (CIS) courses.

You’ll learn to work in a team to design and implement mobile apps and gain the skills necessary to apply design principles to resolve challenges in hardware and user interfaces. Coursework for this program will also teach students to

  • develop and integrate cyber-physical systems based on mobile applications;

  • design and manipulate models using data definition and data manipulation languages;

  • learn how to program databases, write scripts and utilize multiplatform development techniques; and
