How to Apply

The admissions process depends on if you are applying as a matriculated or nonmatriculated graduate student. Please carefully read the information below to ensure you are following the correct admissions process. 

To be considered for admission into the Maternal and Child Health Certificate (Graduate) program, applicants currently enrolled in a Temple University graduate program housed in the College of Public Health must work with their graduate advisor to add the certificate. You will not complete an admissions application.

For admission consideration into the Maternal and Child Health Certificate (Graduate) program, applicants currently enrolled in a Temple University graduate program housed in a school or college outside the College of Public Health must meet the following requirements.

  • Application
    Submit your application through SOPHAS Express.
  • Statements of interest
    Submit your statements of interest and the program’s relevance to your career goals.

  • GPA
    You must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0.

  • CV or résumé
    Submit your curriculum vitae and/or professional résumé.

To be considered for admission into the Maternal and Child Health Certificate (Graduate) program, nondegree-seeking applicants must submit the following application materials.

  • Application
    Submit your application through SOPHAS Express.
  • Transcripts
    A bachelor’s degree is required to apply. Submit transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions you’ve attended.

  • Statements of interest
    Submit your statements of interest and the program’s relevance to your career goals.

  • CV or résumé
    Submit your curriculum vitae and/or professional résumé.

  • Letters of recommendation
    Submit two letters of recommendation (at least one from an academic or college instructor, preferably graduate level).

Admission Deadlines

The College of Public Health Admissions Office will coordinate the admissions process through SOPHAS Express for all applicants.

Laptop Requirement

Laptops are integrated into the curriculum at the College of Public Health to improve opportunities for active learning and provide greater access to specialized software and required tools in and out of the classroom. Incoming students are required to have a laptop that meets certain minimum hardware specifications. Review full laptop requirements.
