Applications should be submitted to the American Dental Education Association (ADEA) through the Centralized Application for Advanced Placement for International Dentists (CAAPID)

All applicants are assessed on their preclinical and communication skills, and they must pass an oral examination, which is conducted by the search committee.

Qualifications and Acceptance

Requirements for the Advanced Standing Program for Internationally Trained Dentists are the same for both the two- and three-year programs. Preference will be given to applicants with advanced clinical experience and those who meet competency standards for students moving into the two-year Advanced Standing Program for Internationally Trained Dentists.

All applicants must be proficient in the English language.

Admission decisions are made by the Advanced Standing and Transfer Admissions Committee based on recommendations from faculty. Evaluating faculty conduct a full educational review to ensure an applicant's competence meets the standards of the Kornberg School of Dentistry.

Admission into the 24-month program will be based on an assessment of preclinical skills, communication skills and an oral examination conducted by the program’s search committee. The school places high weight on ethical and professional conduct and evidence for desire to learn and innovate. The program operates in a comprehensive general dentistry clinic that will simulate real-life private practice.
