To apply for the Epidemiology MS, you must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Students should be proficient in statistical programming and have a minimum of six undergraduate quantitative or analytical methods credits (statistics, research design, etc.).
You will apply using SOPHAS Centralized Application Service. The documents required below will all be submitted through the SOPHAS system.
Submit three letters of recommendation from college or university faculty who can speak to your academic abilities. If appropriate for your situation, the letters can also be from research supervisors or mentors.
Write a 500- to 1,000-word statement of purpose that articulates your interests in public health and this program in particular. Craft your statement to specifically address the following questions.
Submit a writing sample of no more than 10 pages (unless it is a published work). The department prefers academic papers, scholarly articles and technical reports.
The GRE is required and scores above the 50th percentile on both the verbal and quantitative sections of the test are desired. Official GRE scores should be sent to SOPHAS using code 0151. The GRE requirement may be waived if you have a terminal degree from an accredited institution.
Submit a résumé or CV that includes your GPA, as well as relevant clinical and research experiences.
