Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, Mathematics or Science.
Requirements include one year of theoretical calculus and at least one year of programming and data structures using the C++ or Java programming language.
Submit official transcripts from every college and university you have attended.
Submit three letters of recommendation from Computer Science faculty and professionals.
Your statement should be about 500 to 1,000 words in length. Include your specific interest in Temple’s program as well as your research and future career goals and your previous academic and research achievements.
The GRE is required. The typical applicant to the CIS Graduate Program has a score 156 and above, which is equivalent to the 64th, and above, percentile on the quantitative section of the GRE exam. The minimum total score required on the new GRE is 300.
Submit a current version of your résumé.
For applicants whose native language is not English, the TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Academic Exam scores are required. The minimum scores for the TOEFL and IELTS are set by the Graduate School and are strictly enforced in the admissions process. Minimum scores are
International applicants who have either completed an undergraduate or graduate program in the U.S. or received a degree from an institution where the instruction was conducted in English will be eligible to apply for a TOEFL or IELTS waiver once the Graduate School has received and approved all transcripts.
