Clinical Education

You will complete three short, immersive clinical experiences and three semester-long, clinical education or practicum experiences. These experiences encourage you to apply the theories and techniques you have learned to real-world scenarios in athletic training settings as well as prepare you to launch your career.

Immersive experiences do not need to be in the Philadelphia region; program administration and students work collaboratively to find clinical sites that align with student goals. All students are supervised by certified athletic trainers or other healthcare professionals who have successfully completed training to oversee MSAT students and help develop them as clinicians.

All students will have the opportunity to complete at least one of their clinical placements in schools designated as Division I, the NCAA’s highest competitive level for intercollegiate athletics. Temple’s athletic training program maintains affiliation agreements with a wide range of other clinical education sites, including sports medicine clinics and schools.
