Required Courses

Your curriculum will vary depending on whether you select a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science. All students take an introductory course in computer science followed by a series of classes that explore concentrations within the discipline.

Information Science and Technology BA

Learning happens through classroom instruction, laboratory and fieldwork, and research opportunities. A sample of the courses you might take include

  • Introduction to Academics in Computer Science;
  • Architecture, Operating Systems and Networking; and
  • laboratory science courses such as General Biology and General Chemistry.

Information Science and Technology BS

Learning happens through classroom instruction, laboratory and fieldwork, and research opportunities. A sample of the courses you might take include

  • Introduction to Academics in Computer Science;
  • Architecture, Operating Systems and Networking; and
  • Information Science and Technology electives such as Advanced Web Application Design & Scripting, Information Technology Project Management, and Introduction to Digital Forensics.
